As the vibrant community of Winfield USD 465 gears up for an exhilarating season of athletic events, the excitement in the air is palpable. Winfield Viking Athletics would like to ensure that every game is memorable and enjoyable for all attendees. With this in mind, the school district has outlined a set of guidelines to promote sportsmanship, safety, and community pride at all events.
Sportsmanship and Respect
Winfield USD 465 is committed to fostering an environment of positivity and respect. Attendees are encouraged to cheer enthusiastically for the Vikings, celebrating the efforts and accomplishments of the athletes.
Attendance and Supervision
The district emphasizes the importance of supervision and appropriate conduct during events.
Elementary students must be accompanied by an adult and remain seated with them throughout the event.
Middle school students will have designated seating areas at football and basketball games, ensuring that they, too, are supervised and safe.
High school students are expected to exemplify the values of the school by behaving in a manner that reflects positively on the Vikings.
Parents and guardians are reminded to supervise younger children at all times, ensuring their safety and that of others around them. All students should be engaged in watching the event, refraining from running around to keep the focus on the games and athletes.
Safety and Conduct
Ensuring the safety of all participants and spectators is our top priority. School staff and volunteers will be present to guide attendees and maintain a secure environment. Spectators are required to remain in designated areas and refrain from entering restricted zones such as the field or court.
Together we are...#WinningInWinfield!
